1. Overview
SERIQ provides software for pet owners to request pet care services and for caregivers to accept, complete, and manage bookings. This Privacy Policy applies to the SERIQ user app, the SERIQ provider app, and related support workflows.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information, such as name, email address, phone number, and account role.
- Profile information, such as address and basic profile details you choose to provide.
- Booking information, including service type, pets, dates, times, notes, bids, disputes, and reviews.
- Support information, including messages you send through in-app support or related support channels.
- Provider service data, including route and step-count information during active jobs in the provider app.
- Payment and payout metadata, such as Stripe customer or connected account references and transaction status.
3. Payment Information
SERIQ uses Stripe to process payments and provider payouts. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. Payment details entered into Stripe payment flows are processed by Stripe in accordance with Stripe's own privacy and security practices.
4. Location and Motion Data
The SERIQ provider app collects precise location data only during active jobs so that service progress and route updates can be recorded. The provider app may also access motion or pedometer data during active jobs to calculate step count for the completed job summary. We do not use this data for advertising.
5. How We Use Information
- To create and manage accounts.
- To match pet owners with caregivers and operate bookings.
- To process payments, payouts, refunds, disputes, and cancellations.
- To provide customer support and respond to account or service issues.
- To prevent fraud, enforce platform rules, and protect users and pets.
- To comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
6. Sharing of Information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the platform, such as Stripe for payments, Amazon Cognito for authentication, and other infrastructure or support vendors that help us provide the service. We may also disclose information where required by law, to prevent fraud, or to resolve disputes.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to operate the platform, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, process chargebacks, and comply with Australian legal and financial recordkeeping requirements. Some booking, payment, and dispute records may be retained even after account closure where required.
8. Account Deletion and Privacy Choices
You can request account deletion in-app through Privacy & opt-out. When an account is deleted, we remove or anonymize profile data where appropriate and revoke account access. Some records may be retained where legally required or necessary for fraud prevention, disputes, chargebacks, or support.
